SloveniaThe first co-housing unit for young people in Slovenia has been established in a basement space on Tyrševa Street in Maribor. The project was initiated by the non-profit organization Epeka, which aimed to create shared living spaces for young people. The unit, approximately 50 square meters in size, includes a bedroom, bathroom, and a combined living room and kitchen. Plans include a communal area for future residents. Seven members of Epeka invested their own capital into the project, with additional donations and volunteer work contributing to the effort. The group faced challenges during the public auction process, where they did not have priority purchasing rights like some European cooperatives.
