AEThree projects from Morocco, Ecuador, and Iraq have been awarded first prizes in the Terra Landscape Architectural Award, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. The awards are part of Terra 2027 – World Congress on Earthen Architecture, which will take place in Al Ain for the first time in the Arab region. The competition received 73 entries from 27 countries, with 20 projects shortlisted across three categories. The Moroccan project, the Living Heritage Centre in Tiznit, was recognized for integrating traditional earthen building techniques into its cultural setting. The Ecuadorian La Casa de las Rocas was praised for using local resources and harmonizing with its natural surroundings. The Iraqi Healing Garden and Therapy Centre was highlighted for adapting to local environmental conditions and building culture. Other notable projects include the Kopila Valley School in Nepal and the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture.
