President Ivan Bilić has addressed the current situation regarding the Hajduk stadium and training complex during a recent public statement. The topic of the stadium's condition has been a subject of concern among fans and officials alike, and Bilić took the opportunity to provide clarity on the measures being taken to ensure its safety and functionality.
Bilić mentioned that more than 50 percent of the lexan panels on the stadium roof have already been replaced. He emphasized that the club has engaged Professor Mihanović’s company to conduct a comprehensive study on the stadium's overall condition. According to Bilić, the study was submitted to the Ministry of Sports, and a working group visited the stadium two weeks ago, receiving all relevant documentation. However, he noted that the study faced challenges in obtaining three reviewers, which delayed the process but did not prevent the submission.
The president highlighted the importance of ensuring the stadium's safety, stating that the club has received a license from the Croatian Football Association (HNS) for the upcoming season. This license, according to Bilić, confirms that the stadium meets the necessary standards for hosting matches. Nevertheless, he acknowledged concerns related to wind conditions, explaining that Professor Mihanović had recommended limiting risks associated with strong winds. As a result, the club has ordered devices to measure wind speed, as football matches can only proceed safely when wind speeds are below 70 kilometers per hour.
Looking ahead, Bilić expressed confidence that the club will eventually secure funding for a new stadium, emphasizing the significance of such a project for the future of Hajduk. He also outlined plans to renovate the auxiliary pitch, noting that the work will be carried out in two phases. These efforts aim to improve both the infrastructure and the overall experience for players and spectators.
In addition to discussing the stadium, Bilić touched upon the progress of the football training complex in Stobreč. He revealed that the club has commissioned a company to prepare an idea project for the camp, with expectations that the project will be finalized by the end of the year. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the club's facilities and support the development of young talent.
The discussions around the stadium and training center reflect ongoing efforts to modernize Hajduk's infrastructure while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The club's leadership remains focused on addressing immediate safety concerns while planning for long-term improvements. With the support of local authorities and continued investment, the hope is that these projects will contribute significantly to the club's stability and success in the coming years.
