President Nataša Pirc Musar has released her hospital discharge documents following a traffic accident in which she sustained a fracture to her right clavicle. The documents, shared publicly via Facebook, include medical reports, diagnostic imaging results, laboratory findings, prescribed medications, and physician instructions for recovery. The move comes amid growing public interest and questions surrounding the incident, her health condition, and the timing of information disclosure. The documents reveal that after the accident, President Pirc Musar was taken to the surgical department of General Hospital Izola by emergency services. Upon arrival, she was conscious, oriented, and communicative, recalling the incident. She told doctors she had been seated behind the driver's seat and was struck in the right shoulder during the collision. Due to pain in her arm, she was unable to move it normally. X-ray imaging showed a fracture of the outer part of her right clavicle. The discharge papers list the diagnoses of clavicle fracture and concussion. Despite these injuries, doctors conducted a CT scan of her head, which did not show fresh brain bleeding or other acute head injuries. They also imaged her cervical spine and found no recent spinal injuries. Despite this, Pirc Musar remained under observation overnight due to worsening symptoms. According to the discharge document, she reported feeling unwell and experiencing nausea, prompting her admission for further monitoring. While in the hospital, she received pain medication and a brace for her injured clavicle. The following day, she had no fever, her neurological status was normal, and the pain was described as moderate. As a result, she was discharged for home care. In addition to basic diagnoses, the president shared detailed laboratory test results, including values for white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets, glucose, sodium, potassium, and other indicators. The documents also include findings from X-rays, CT scans of the head, and cervical spine evaluations, along with data on medications she received during treatment. This release provides the public with a comprehensive view of her current health status, going beyond the simple statement that she fractured her clavicle. Doctors advised her to rest and wear a brace. They also recommended avoiding physical exertion, sun exposure, driving, alcohol consumption, and prolonged television watching, reading, or computer work due to the head injury. They warned her to be alert for signs of deterioration, such as severe headaches, seizures, repeated vomiting, nose or ear bleeding, or loss of consciousness. They also emphasized that she should not be alone two days after the injury. According to her post, the president does not fully rest while recovering. It remains unclear whether she is resting less than recommended. Her social media message suggests that work in the presidential office has not completely ceased. Alongside photographs of the discharge documents, she wrote: “Thank you to all the kind people who sent me friendly wishes for a quick recovery. Regarding questions about the treatment process for my broken clavicle, I am happy to inform you that I feel well and am carrying out my duties, even while on leave.” She explained that she had already received, reviewed, and signed some documents sent to her from the Office of the President. This indicates that administrative functions have continued despite her absence. The documents provide transparency into her medical condition and treatment, addressing concerns raised by the public regarding the incident and her health.
