Attention, debtors: today is the deadline for payment of income tax

The Slovenian Financial Administration (Furs) has announced that today is the final deadline for taxpayers to settle their income tax payments for 2025. Those who received informational tax calculations in early June must return approximately 60.5 million euros to the state. Taxpayers who did not receive their calculation must submit a declaration themselves, with the latest possible date being Friday. The Furs sent out 581,289 tax calculations in May, with 18.3% of them involving additional payments and 60.6% involving refunds. Taxpayers who overpaid taxes during the year have already received their refunds, and those needing to make additional payments must complete this by today. The average additional payment amounts to around 570 euros. Taxpayers can settle their debt in multiple installments, with the simplest option being three installments, which require no documentation of income, savings, or assets. Those who filed objections against the tax calculation do not need to settle the amount, as the objection suspends enforcement.

Last day for additional payment of the second instalment

The deadline for paying back overpaid income tax for the year 2025 has expired today for those who received their preliminary tax calculations at the beginning of June. The Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (Furs) sent out 581,289 tax calculation notices in the second batch at the end of May, with 18.3% requiring additional payments and 60.6% involving refunds. Those who paid too much in advance have already received the excess amounts into their bank accounts by now. On average, the additional payment amounts to around €570. Taxpayers can pay the outstanding amount in installments, with the simplest option being three installments without needing to provide proof of income, savings, or assets.
