She emphasized that these conditions are likely to persist, contributing to ongoing weather instability. As a result, several areas in Quebec’s southern and eastern regions, including the Quebec City area, are under yellow alert rainfall warnings and severe thunderstorm watches. These alerts warn of varying levels of rainfall, with some regions anticipating between 40 to 80 millimeters of rain, and others expecting up to 100 millimeters. Communities such as Fermont and Saint Felicien-Roberval are particularly at risk. Meanwhile, areas under severe thunderstorm watches are advised that such storms can bring heavy rain, strong wind gusts, hail, and the potential for tornadoes. Authorities continue monitoring the situation, urging residents to remain vigilant and prepared for changing weather conditions.
