He said goodbye to Mitja Gobec.

Mitja Gobec, a renowned choral conductor, educator, and journalist, has passed away at the age of 88. He was a prominent figure in Slovenia's choral music scene, serving as an editor, mentor, and organizer over several decades. Born in 1938 in Celje, he graduated from the Pedagogical Academy in Ljubljana with a degree in music education and choral conducting. He worked extensively at Radio Ljubljana, contributing to numerous archival recordings of the radio chamber choir, particularly under the leadership of Lojzeta Lebič. In 1976, he received an award from Yugoslav Radio Television for his outstanding sound recording work. Later, he served as an advisor for musical activities and notation publishing at the Association of Cultural Organizations of Slovenia, a predecessor of today's Public Fund for Cultural Activities (JSKD). Even after retiring, he remained active, authoring works such as 'Sto ponaredelih pesmi.' The JSKD awarded him the highest honor for lifetime achievement, recognizing his pivotal role in shaping Slovenia's choral culture over nearly seven decades.
