Police arrested 264 illegal immigrants

Between July 24th and 27th, 2026, Slovenian police from the Novo mesto Police Department, operating in areas including Brežice, Črnomelj, and Metlika, detained a total of 264 undocumented migrants, believed to originate from 19 countries. In Črnomelj area, 64 individuals were apprehended, primarily from Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, and Palestine. In Metlika, one person of Turkish origin was detained.
