POLEPLJENI PLAKATI HATE VIR ALBANCIM: The Protector of Citizens Pašalić called and addressed a message to all

The Ombudsman for Citizens' Rights, Zoran Pašalić, strongly condemns the posting of hate-filled posters targeting members of the Albanian national minority in the Republic of Serbia. He warns that such actions represent unacceptable expressions of intolerance and discrimination, which threaten citizens' safety and undermine interethnic trust. Pašalić emphasizes that spreading hatred and intolerance toward any national community has no place in a democratic society based on respect for human rights, equality, and the rule of law. He calls on competent authorities to urgently investigate all circumstances of this case, identify and prosecute those responsible according to the law, and take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents. The Ombudsman also reminds state institutions of their duty to consistently protect the rights of all national minorities and decisively respond to any form of discrimination, hate speech, or incitement to ethnic intolerance.
