The incident occurred late afternoon on a local road, according to police reports. The cyclist, who had consumed more than 0.52 milligrams of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, was found to have sustained cuts on his hands and legs after colliding with shattered glass during the fall. Police officers from the Idrija police station confirmed the cyclist's condition and issued him a payment notice. Emergency services including fire department personnel from Idrija were dispatched to the scene to secure the area and provide assistance. A rescue vehicle transported the injured cyclist to the Idrija Health Center for medical care. Separately, a woman aged 62 suffered injuries while hiking with her partner along the challenging trail leading to Pogačnik’s House on the Kriških Podih. The incident took place around 4:30 PM near the Bovec region. During their descent from Mount Stenar, she slipped and hit her body, suffering damage to her shoulder. Despite the pain, she managed to continue the hike until reaching Pogačnik’s House, but was unable to proceed further due to discomfort. She called for help, prompting the arrival of mountain rescuers from the Gorski Resursni Sluzba Bovec and a standby team from the Gorski Resursni Sluzba in Brnik. After receiving initial treatment, she was flown by helicopter from the police aviation unit to the General Hospital in Jesenice. In another incident, a man in Nova Gorica caused damage to the rearview mirror of a parked personal car. The incident happened in the afternoon, with the man using his foot to kick the mirror, resulting in approximately €300 worth of damage. Police from the Nova Gorica police station determined that the man’s actions constituted a violation of emergency measures aimed at ensuring public safety. They will initiate a disciplinary procedure against him for breaching these regulations.
