European investigative journalism, discussed with infoLibre journalists at a URJC summer course

On June 29 and 30, the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos' Aranjuez campus hosted a summer course titled 'Periodismo de investigación en Europa: democracia, regulación y retos transnacionales,' focusing on challenges facing investigative journalism in Europe amid hybrid threats, disinformation, and new regulations. infoLibre had a significant presence, with Nacho Calle, its deputy editor and president of the Association of Investigative Journalists (API), participating in the opening and closing sessions, while Ignacio Carrascón, an investigative journalist at infoLibre, joined a panel on transnational investigative journalism. The European Parliament was also represented by several officials. Organized by the university under Professor Marta Sánchez Esparza, the event featured contributions from API and included speakers such as Pilar Requena, Beatriz Gálvez, José Bautista, Brenda Chávez, and others.
