Attorney asks VJT to publish both documents on which he bases suspicion of sounding gun simulation

An attorney, Rastko Naumov, has called on Belgrade's Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) to publish two documents on which they base their suspicions of a simulated use of a 'sound cannon' during a March 15 protest in Belgrade. The VJT stated on June 19 that it ordered police to identify individuals present at a meeting of the organization 'Students in Blockade - Top Management Group for Security' on January 22, 2025, where, according to the prosecution, a simulation of the sound cannon's use was planned for the March 15 protest last year. The VJT claims there is suspicion that participants in this meeting and other unidentified individuals took actions to simulate the use of the 'sound cannon' by state organs during the March 15 protest, aiming to create panic among citizens, cause unrest, and potentially lead to violent changes in the constitutional order and threaten national security. Naumov argued that both minutes from the meeting of the 'Top Management Group for Security' should be published because they mention the sound cannon only briefly, as a new security threat compared to previous meetings. He noted that students discussed security issues related to an event at 'A

"Famousness receives a new face: Full-fledged reconstruction, opening next year

The Hotel 'Slavija' in Belgrade is undergoing major reconstruction. The project has been underway for some time, with over 100 workers currently employed at the site. The Serbian Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has announced that during a search of the Faculty of Philosophy premises conducted after the tragic event of March 26, 2026, temporary documents were seized that could be relevant to several cases, including an investigation into events from March 15, 2025. Meanwhile, Radio Television Serbia (RTS) aired a detailed reconstruction of the events surrounding the March 15 protest. The report included documents, a chronological account of events, and video footage from multiple locations in central Belgrade. Among the documents was a record of a meeting by the National Security Working Group held on January 22, 2025, which mentioned a 'sound cannon' and potential international reactions to its possible use. A significant portion of the broadcast focused on the organization of student protesters during their withdrawal, noting that there was a predefined protocol involving removing helmets and orderly leaving the protest area. According to the reconstruction, information about the withdrawal was relayed through multiple points across the city center, causing confusion among those unfamiliar with the plan. The process of withdrawal lasted

A special TV broadcast by RTS covered new developments in the investigation into events that occurred on March 15, 2025, including the 'sound cannon' affair. The report included a reconstruction of the protests, based on documents such as meeting notes from the Supreme Security Working Group held on January 22, 2025. These documents mention the potential use of a 'sound cannon' and plans to introduce this issue to the public. According to the reconstruction, a small group provoked police at the intersection of Knez Miloša, Takovska, and Boulevard King Alexander with pyrotechnic devices. Lawyer on the minutes of the plenary: We knew on March 15 that the sound cannon was not used

The article discusses an investigation into claims made during a protest in Belgrade on March 15, 2025, regarding the alleged use of a 'sound cannon' by authorities. According to the findings, these claims were planned at least 53 days before the event. Students denounce VJT: Sound cannon considered a risk to peaceful protests

Students in Serbia have criticized the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office for allegedly diverting attention from key questions surrounding events on March 15, 2025. The article discusses an alleged conspiracy involving the planned use of a 'sound cannon' during a protest scheduled for March 15, 2025, in Belgrade. According to Professor Milan Petričković from the Faculty of Political Sciences, this was part of a broader strategy to create panic among citizens and provoke unrest that could lead to violent changes in the constitutional order and threaten national security.
