The 53rd International Senj Summer Carnival officially began with the symbolic handover of power at Senj's Cilnica Square, attended by locals and tourists. Mayor Željko Tomljanović welcomed visitors and urged them to enjoy the festivities while reminding the carnival mayor to protect the city's heritage.
