A driver was rescued after his 'ombak'—a type of three-wheeled small vehicle—plunged into a ravine in Barangay Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga on July 23. The incident occurred when the vehicle fell into a roadside ravine, leaving the driver with injuries to his right arm and leg. Rescuers from the Tabuk City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) intervened after spotting the vehicle and helped extract the driver. Additional assistance came from Pinukpuk Vice Mayor Shirlyn Alunday, who coordinated with local authorities to deploy first responders and medical personnel.
