The e-commerce platform Temu has recalled several dental whitening products due to safety concerns. These include a whitening pencil from a Spanish manufacturer, Foshan City Sanshui Qiaoxifu Household, which was removed because it contained excessive hydrogen peroxide. Additionally, whitening strips from a French manufacturer, Guangdong Qimeng Personal Care Products, were recalled due to the presence of 6-methylcoumarin and hydrogen peroxide levels exceeding allowed limits, along with undecleared benzoic acid. A dual corrector and foundation from an Italian manufacturer, Shantou Ouzhiman Biotechnology, was also recalled due to the presence of the banned substance octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4). The company has asked customers not to use these products.
