NPÚ has selected contractors for the reconstruction of the Invalid House for 2.15 billion crowns

The National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) has selected a consortium of companies—Metrostav, Avers, Chládek, and Tintěra—to reconstruct Prague's Baroque Invalidovna building for 2.5 billion Czech crowns. The reconstruction includes restoring the historic structure and adding new buildings at two southern gables for the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Once completed, the site will feature permanent exhibitions, a gallery for temporary displays, a multi-functional hall for 170 visitors, visitor centers, a café, and professional offices for NPÚ and a technology laboratory. The reconstructed area is expected to open to the public around the turn of 2029–2030. Before the reconstruction begins, NPÚ plans to temporarily open the building to the public, with the exact date to be announced soon. The courtyard and gardens will remain accessible to the public as part of nearby parks during the visit period.
