NGNigeria has taken over the chairmanship of the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) at its 7th Ordinary Session, succeeding Algeria. The conference concluded with the adoption of the Abuja Ministerial Declaration aimed at enhancing digital connectivity, inclusion, and infrastructure across Africa. Nigerian Minister Dr Bosun Tijani emphasized collaboration and shared goals for Africa's digital future. Delegates also elected Zambia's Kezias Mwale as the new Secretary General, who won with 21 votes against other candidates.
