ZANepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has issued new flood warnings after the Bhote Koshi River's water levels continued to rise. The flood levels in the Trishuli River, downstream of the Bhote Koshi in Dhading district, have increased by 3 meters above normal levels. This rise is attributed to flooding from the Bhote Koshi area in Rasuwa. Earlier, on August 26, the flood levels reached over 14 meters in Dhading. According to the NDRRMA, the obstruction of the Lhende Khola, a tributary of the Bhote Koshi River, has led to the formation of a lake, which poses a risk of bursting and causing another major flood. As of now, the massive flood on August 26 has resulted in 675 deaths, with 2,498 people still missing, including 589 foreigners.
