CHA mountain peak in Austria, known as Pillewizer, has lost its name and status as a 3000-meter high summit due to its historical association with Nazi Germany. The Austrian Alpine Club (ÖAV) removed the sign naming the peak after Wolfgang Pillewizer, a member of the NSDAP and former SA leader, and also removed stones placed there in 1988 by his supporters to artificially raise its height. This action was taken because Pillewizer was involved in implementing racist and dehumanizing ideologies under the Nazi regime. The peak is now unnamed and does not appear on official maps or hiking guides. However, three geographical points on Spitzbergen remain named after him.
