Fat guy's term as head of the SDH is over.

The article reports that Žiga Debeljak, president of the Slovenian State Holding (SDH), will resign from his position on September 30th by mutual agreement. His departure occurs during a period when the government under Prime Minister Janez Janša is preparing a comprehensive reform of state asset management, including the abolition of SDH. Debeljak had been leading SDH since September 2022 and was set to start a new four-year term in September 2024, but this was confirmed by the previous government led by Robert Golob. The article suggests that this decision reflects the left wing’s attempt to secure power for itself, which has caused public discontent. It also notes that coalition partners, such as SD, did not agree with this move. Current Prime Minister Janez Janša strongly opposed the extension of Debeljak’s mandate, expressing his disagreement publicly. The Supervisory Board of SDH acknowledged Debeljak’s contributions and highlighted the successful performance of the holding in the past year. The resignation coincides with broader systemic reforms aimed at creating a more centralized, transparent, and strategically oriented system for managing state assets, intended to ensure穩

Žiga Debeljak, predsednik uprave Slovenskega državnega holdinga (SDH), bo 30. septembra sporazumno zapustil položaj, kar je povzročilo široko pozornost v političnem in javnem mediju.

Imenovanje novega predsednika uprave bo izvedeno do poteka Debeljakovega mandata, medtem ko bo obstoječa uprava, v kateri je poleg Debeljaka še Janez Tomšič, zagotavljala nemoteno delovanje družbe do konca septembra.

The fat man is ending his term as head of the SDH.

The article reports that Žiga Debeljak, who has led the Slovenian State Holding (SDH) since September 2022, will voluntarily step down from his position on September 30th. His resignation comes during a period when the government under Prime Minister Janez Janša is preparing a major overhaul of state asset management, including the abolition of SDH. Debeljak was set to start a new four-year term in September, but this was confirmed by the previous government led by Robert Golob, which critics argue aimed to secure power for the left wing. This move was opposed by coalition partners like the Slovenian Democratic Party (SD). The current prime minister, Janez Janša, publicly rejected the extension of Debeljak’s mandate. The board of SDH acknowledged Debeljak’s contributions and noted the holding’s successful performance over the past year. The departure coincides with broader reforms aimed at creating a more centralized, transparent, and long-term oriented system for managing state assets, including financial support for the pension fund. A public call for applications for a new head of administration is underway, with the existing management ensuring smooth operations until then.

Bias read (Center): While the article discusses politically sensitive issues such as government restructuring and potential left-wing influence, it presents multiple perspectives: it mentions opposition from both the ruling party and coalition partners, acknowledges the board’s appreciation for Debeljak, and highlights

Žiga Debeljak resigns as Chairman of the Management Board of SDH by mutual agreement at the end of September

The Supervisory Board of Slovenia's State Holding Company (SDH) has confirmed that Žiga Debeljak will resign from his position as chairman of the management board at the end of September 2026. Debeljak himself initiated the early termination of his mandate, and the supervisory board has already begun the process of selecting a new chairman through a public call for candidates. The deadline for submitting applications is July 31, 2026. During Debeljak’s tenure, which began in September 2022, the SDH managed to achieve record profits, maintain high returns on capital, and distribute significant dividends despite external challenges such as energy crises and geopolitical uncertainties. The supervisory board praised his leadership and expressed confidence in the company's continued stability.

Bias read (Center): The article presents a factual update on the resignation of a corporate leader and the subsequent selection process for a new leader within a state-owned enterprise. While the subject involves public sector governance, the tone remains neutral, focusing on operational outcomes and administrative流程.

Just one month after the start of the new term, the first man will leave early.

The article reports that Žiga Debeljak, the head of the Slovenian State Holding (SDH), has voluntarily resigned from his position before the end of his mandate, which was confirmed by the Supervisory Board. Debeljak had already raised concerns about his mandate last year, and he has now formally stepped down and renounced his pension. The Supervisory Board has announced a public call for a new chairman of the management board, with the deadline for applications set for July 31. The current management team, including Janez Tomšič, will ensure the continued operation of the company until the end of September. The article highlights the successful performance of SDH under Debeljak’s leadership, noting record profits, high returns on investments, and significant dividend payouts. It also mentions that the new government may still terminate Debeljak’s mandate regardless of his voluntary resignation.

Bias read (Center): The article presents a balanced account of Debeljak’s resignation, citing both his voluntary decision and the potential future actions of the new government. While it acknowledges the political implications of his departure and the transition of power, it does not overtly favor any particular side.
