A documentary film titled 'Fotograf' about Peter Naglič, a passionate photographer from Šmara who captured over ten thousand images in early 20th century Slovenia, is set to premiere at the Domžale City Theatre's summer cinema in the Arboretum Volčji Potok. The film follows Naglič's grandson, Matjaž Šporar, as he traces his grandfather's photographic legacy and revisits locations Naglič photographed. Using artificial intelligence and collaboration with the British studio Untold Garden, selected photographs have been animated to create historical 'film shots' that were never actually filmed. Actor Matej Puc provides the voice of Naglič, while scenarist and director Miha Čelar leads the production with Astral Film and co-production by RTV Slovenia. A photography exhibition featuring thirty of Naglič’s photographs is also being displayed at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum.
