The supervisory board of the company 2TDK, responsible for the second track project between Divača and Koper, has prematurely dismissed the management and appointed new leadership. The new general director is Marko Pogačnik, who previously served as an SDS MP, state secretary at the Ministry of Finance, and director of the former Slovenian Compensation Company. He will take over from Matej Ošeta, who remains in the management. The supervisory board also appointed Aleksander Srdić as the company’s attorney. The board was established by the government in August 2023 for a five-year term. The 2TDK project, valued at around €1.1 billion, is progressing despite challenges such as inflation and rising costs. 2TDK's assets are being taken over by Marko Pogačnik. Oset stays on the board, Brezigar leaves.

The board of directors of the company 2TDK has appointed Marko Pogačnik as the new general director, while current general director Matej Oset remains in the management team. The previous general director, Marko Brezigar, has been removed from his position. This change follows the government's decision earlier this year to appoint new members to the supervisory board. Pogačnik, who will take office next Tuesday, previously served as a member of parliament for the SDS party, state secretary at the Ministry of Finance, and director of the former Slovenian Compensation Company. He is also currently a member and chairman of the supervisory board of Telekom Slovenije. Oset and Brezigar were appointed to their positions in March 2023. The government established the project company 2TDK in March 2016 to carry out all necessary activities in the preparation and construction of the second track and its operation during the term of the concession agreement. According to Brezigar, the completion of the main construction work is expected by the end of this year, followed by testing, final procedures, and activities needed to obtain the operating permit. The company expects to receive the oper

Marko Pogačnik at the top of the national 2TDK

At today’s meeting of the supervisory board of the state-owned company 2TDK, supervisors under the leadership of Tine Svolšek dismissed the general director of 2TDK, Matej Oset, and appointed Marko Pogačnik in his place. Pogačnik will take up the role tomorrow, and among his first tasks will be conducting audits of signatures on millions of annexes. There had been speculation for some time about whether there would be a change at the top of the state-owned company leading the 'second track' project. The supervisory board has now named Marko Pogačnik as general director, who was already considered a favorite for the position. Pogačnik belongs to the SDS quota, and he was appointed to the supervisory board of Telekom in September and now also chairs it. According to our information, Oset remains with the company, while Marko Brezigar, the former director of 2TDK, is leaving. The decision came as a surprise because Oset, who comes from the Laško group, did not have special references in construction during his tenure as head of the Koblarne Lipica Holding between 2019 and 2021. However, according to our sources, Brezigar was actually leading the state-owned company. The company will也将
