SloveniaThe article reports on the development of a new Montessori educational project in Brezovica near Ljubljana, Slovenia. Representatives of the Montessori Learning Center announced plans to build a high school and developmental center for children and youth, which will open in the academic year 2030/31. In parallel, they will construct an elementary school and kindergarten that will open within two years. The project includes collaboration with the Rakita Children’s Hospital to provide specialized support services such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, and psychological support for underserved areas. Director Miha Kranjc emphasized the holistic approach, aiming to connect children with mentors from sports and other fields to enhance their development. The Montessori center has already opened kindergartens in Notranje Gorce and Kopře, with plans to expand to Kranj soon.
