A 29-year-old Italian filmmaker has died after being struck by the propellers of an inflatable boat near Lampedusa, an island in southern Italy known for its role in Mediterranean migration flows. The vessel was occupied by two elderly tourists from Milan, both longtime residents of Lampedusa and owners of the boat.
