Mozambique carries out one of the largest drug seizures, with 3.7 tons of fentanyl
Mozambique conducted one of its largest drug seizures, with 3.7 tons of fentanyl discovered in private warehouse storage at Maputo Airport. The substance was initially labeled as 'multivitamins' but was confirmed through laboratory tests to be illegal and highly dangerous. A Mozambican citizen was arrested and identified a Nigerian national as the owner of the drugs, who was also detained. The operation, part of efforts to combat drug trafficking, involved 1,500 packages of fentanyl, which is described as more potent than heroin, morphine, and cocaine.
