Minister Logar is pleased that the country in GEN-I, which was 'locked up' by Golob, is once again in control

Spremembe so vključvale novo vodenje GEN-I in GEN Energije, kjer je država 100-odstotna lastnica, vendar jih ni imela polnih upravljavskih pravic zaradi kompleksne lastniške strukture. Prejšnje poročila o mahinacijah v lastniških strukturah in skrivni posnetki so pokazala, kako so bili podjetja delovala v pravni sivi zoni.

The state finally gains leverage over Gen-I: the end of the bizarre proprietary maze?

The Slovenian government has taken steps to increase its influence over the energy companies Gen-I and Gen Energija, which had previously been entangled in a complex ownership structure. Minister for Economy, Labour, and Sport Anže Logar welcomed recent leadership changes at these firms, stating that the state, as a 100% owner, should now have greater control over their operations. The ownership structure involved cross-holding between Gen-I, Gen-Energija, and Gen-EL, creating ambiguity about who truly held decision-making power. With new leadership appointments, including Jure Soklič at Gen-I and former minister Andrej Vizjak at Gen Energija, the government aims to clarify governance and ensure accountability to taxpayers. These changes are seen as critical for aligning corporate management with public interests.

Bias read (Center): The article presents the government's efforts to assert control over state-owned energy firms, citing statements from both the government and new executives. It does not favor one side but explains the structural issues and the implications of the changes. The framing remains neutral, focusing on re
