Ayilara Olawale, a graduate of the Department of Project Management Technology, was recognized as the best graduating student for the 2024/2025 session with a CGPA of 4.96, achieving First Class Honours. Meanwhile, Adebanjo Oluolamide, an Aerospace Engineering graduate, secured the distinction for the 2025/2026 session with a remarkable CGPA of 4.97, setting a new record for the university. Olawale, who completed his B.Tech (Honours) in Project Management Technology, expressed gratitude for his achievement, crediting it to divine grace. On social media, he shared his feelings, emphasizing the role of faith in his success. “Grateful beyond words to graduate as the Best Graduating Student of Lagos State University, Ojo, for the 2024/2025 Session. Every victory was by Allah’s grace. Here’s to bigger dreams, impact, and a lifetime of excellence,” he wrote. His academic journey included participation in the Project1500 initiative and membership in the Millennium Fellowship, LASU Cohort. Reflecting on his university experience, he noted the importance of discipline, endurance, and perseverance in overcoming challenges. Oluolamide, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.97, also credited his success to divine guidance. However, he faced financial constraints and sought assistance to cover the cost of attending the conference, requesting ₦200,000 for his participation.
