Oud-OMT-voorzitter Jaap van Dissel gaf aan dat hij zich zorgen maakt of wetenschappers zich nog wel durven uit te spreken. Hij waarschuwt tegen anekdoten, omdat het anders niet langer droog blijft.
De commissie heeft diverse verhoren gehouden in de afgelopen weken, waarbij getuigen verslag doen van hun ervaringen. In de eerste week van de verhoren werden onder andere vragen gesteld over vaccins en fake news. Er is spanning rond de enquête, met hoofdrolspelers die onder ede worden verhoord.
