Jellyfish almost never get cancer.

They developed a mathematical model tracking cell division, death, and mutations, which was tested on live jellyfish. Experiments on moon jellyfish demonstrated that blocking apoptosis (natural cell removal) led to tumor formation, while slowing down cell division increased tumor frequency. The findings, published in PNAS, could aid research into cancer resistance in long-lived animals like elephants and naked mole rats, potentially leading to new methods for early detection or prevention of human cancer.
