The show is set in a prestigious military high school located in the historic town of Minerva, with filming taking place at the Royal Palace of Portici and the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The production also made use of the beautiful botanical garden, offering a backdrop that blends grandeur with historical intrigue. The series, directed by Ivan Silvestrini, features a cast including Gallo, Cristiana Capotondi, and Irene Maiorino, among others. Gallo’s character, the strict yet complex headmaster, embodies both discipline and vulnerability, reflecting the internal conflicts that arise when tradition meets personal ethics. In an interview with ANSA, Gallo explained that his character believes in upholding traditions, particularly those rooted in military values, while also exploring the boundaries of authority and morality. He emphasized that the role is not one-dimensional, noting that he has explored the character's strength alongside its fragility, especially given that his son is one of the students.
