COOver 390 leaders from Cundinamarca, Colombia, completed training focused on addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development. The program, organized by the Regional Autonomous Corporation (CAR) in partnership with the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano, provided participants with knowledge on water conservation, responsible land use, and strategies to adapt to climate phenomena like El Niño and La Niña. The initiative aims to empower community leaders to develop environmental projects tailored to their municipalities, including water source conservation and sustainable resource management. Participants also designed proposals to address local environmental needs, with the best ideas receiving support for implementation. Around 600 students joined technical tours across municipalities to learn about successful environmental practices.
