Opatija summer stage in the sign of humanity: Let's donate our hearts to Kolibriće

On Friday, August 14th, the small summer stage in Opatija will transform into a space of humanity, music and community as the concert “Darujmo srcem za Kolibriće” takes place from 8 pm onwards. The event aims to support the “Kolibrići” programme run by the local organisation Naša djeca, ensuring its continuation and further development. The “Kolibrići” initiative has been operating continuously since 2002 under the auspices of the Društvo Naša djeca in Opatija. It provides developmental support and assistance to children with developmental challenges and their families through a variety of activities such as regular meetings, storytelling sessions, creative workshops, and parent clubs. These include group sessions, individual consultations for parents, and thematic lectures aimed at improving the quality of life for these children and encouraging their equal participation in the local community. In addition to supporting families within Opatija, the programme extends its reach through the “Kolibriće plus” initiative, which offers similar services to children and families in the areas of Lovran, Matulja and Rijeka. This expansion ensures broader access to essential developmental resources and support systems. The evening’s musical programme begins at 8:30 pm with the performance of Degenerali, followed by Hefest at 9 pm. At 9:30 pm, Mitraljez takes the stage, while Cry Babies perform at 10 pm. Nola will present her acoustic set at 10:45 pm, and Pomelo Chess Society follows at 11:15 pm. The night continues with Speedclaw at midnight, and the concert concludes at 12:40 am with Krešo and Kisele Kiše. This concert serves as both a celebration of artistic expression and a fundraiser for the long-standing “Kolibrići” programme, which has supported over two decades of developmental care for vulnerable children and their families. Organisers stress the importance of ongoing access to high-quality, continuous developmental support for these communities. The event is organised by the Opatija Festival, with support from the association KOMA and the organisation Naša djoca. Additional backing comes from several local businesses and institutions including G1 Security, KRUG pizza bar, Caffe bar TIN, Studio Graphic Opatija, Radio Korzo, Novinet, Zagrebačka banka and the city of Opatija. Admission to the concert is priced at 15 euros. Tickets can be purchased during business hours at the Festival Office located at the Summer Stage, Zert bb, from 8 am to 5 pm. Alternatively, they are available via the Mojekarte.hr system and at designated sales points including Dallas Music Shop in Rijeka and petrol stations operated by Crodux and Petrol. For those who choose to buy tickets on the day of the event, a ticket booth will be open one hour before the start of the programme at the entrance to the Small Summer Stage in the Angiolina Park.
