Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez, the Argentine goalkeeper who has played extensively in England, recently completed his dream home in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The property, located in the private neighborhood of Rumencó along the Jorge Newbery Avenue corridor, was officially finished in November 2025, according to social media posts shared by his wife, Amanda Mandinha Gama. The couple unveiled the house through Instagram stories, describing it as a long-awaited realization of their vision for a private retreat near the sea. Martínez, who began his professional career with Arsenal in 2010 and later moved to Europe, has maintained deep ties to his hometown of Mar del Plata despite spending much of his career abroad. Alongside Mandinha, he decided to build a country house close to the coast as a place to relax whenever they return to Argentina. The residence is designed to offer maximum privacy for the family, including their two children, Santino and Ava, aged eight and five respectively. The house features a rustic interior style, influenced heavily by Mandinha’s background as an interior designer and owner of her own decoration company, Mandinha Martínez Interiores. The main living area includes a high ceiling made of wooden beams painted white, with strategically placed sofas facing a stone fireplace decorated with paintings and books. Adjacent to this space is a dining room equipped with a large wooden table capable of seating ten guests, complete with a hanging light fixture in the center. Mandinha's design choices emphasize wood as the primary decorative element throughout the home. Her goal was to create a warm atmosphere using neutral colors and to provide a welcoming environment for both family relaxation and hosting guests. The property offers expansive views through large windows and doors leading to an extensive green space filled with grass and trees. During one of their visits, the family allowed Ava to drive her toy car around the spacious outdoor area under supervision. Outside, the house includes a gallery adorned with black-and-white tiled flooring, white cushioned armchairs, a round table with wooden chairs, and a green vine serving as an archway into the garden. This combination of indoor comfort and outdoor tranquility reflects the couple's desire for a harmonious living space that blends seamlessly with nature. Currently, Mandinha and the children are in the United States with the rest of their extended family to support Martínez during the second FIFA World Cup. However, Martínez did not arrive at the tournament in optimal condition. Weeks before its start, he fractured his right ring finger during a match with Aston Villa and opted against surgery. As a result, he could not train normally and was replaced by Gerónimo Rulli and Juan Musso in friendly matches against Iceland and Honduras.
