A study by MPB, a platform specializing in used photography and videography equipment, identified the best European beaches for photographing sunrises and sunsets. The research analyzed 40 well-known European beaches, evaluating factors such as the duration of golden hour, alignment of sunrise and sunset relative to the sea direction, and changes in the sun’s position along the horizon during summer months of July and August. The findings revealed that Northern European beaches generally offer more minutes of photogenic light, while Mediterranean beaches score points for stable lighting conditions and strong landscapes. Surprisingly, Germany topped the rankings, with an Italian location also making the podium.
