In December 2023, Slovenian investigators from the National Investigative Office (NPU) seized over 30 kilograms of highly pure cocaine, which could have been sold for around €750,000. The drugs were discovered in a truck driven by Dragan Miljić, who allegedly handed two shopping bags of cocaine to Mate Međeral. The seizure occurred during a police operation where officers, dressed in civilian clothes, followed Međeral and observed him receiving the drugs at a truck. Three additional investigators arrived later to assist with the arrest. During the court proceedings, the investigator Nives V. claimed that the suspects were prepared for the operation and that the police provided false information about the start and execution of the action. The prosecutors, however, maintained their stance on the evidence presented.
Bias read (Center): The article reports on a criminal investigation involving drug trafficking but does not take a clear ideological stance. It presents both the police account and the defense's claims of fabricated evidence, offering a balanced perspective without overtly favoring either side.
