The fire at the Thirsty on Chiovo is finally declared out.

A wildfire that broke out in Žedno na Čiova at the end of June on open land has been officially declared extinguished. The fire burned approximately 120 hectares of grass, low vegetation, and forest. Firefighters from areas including Trogir, Kaštela, Split, Solin, and Omiš worked for seven days to combat the blaze, supported by aerial resources that helped suppress the flames fueled by wind. After localization on the seventh day, firefighters spent three days extinguishing and cleaning up the area before declaring it fully extinguished on Thursday evening. Around 150 firefighters and fifty vehicles were involved in monitoring and managing the fire site. Several agricultural and auxiliary buildings were damaged as the fire approached inhabited areas, but firefighters managed to protect residential homes. The fire was caused by lightning and adverse weather conditions that affected the region on the last day of June.
