Compact models enter a new phase of digital and hybrid driving

Renault has unveiled a new generation of its Clio compact car, emphasizing technological advancements, enhanced safety features, and more efficient powertrains. The latest model reflects the growing demand among consumers for vehicles that offer the same level of connectivity, convenience, and safety as other modern devices they use daily. This update marks a shift in the automotive industry, particularly within the compact car segment, which is increasingly integrating features previously reserved for larger, more expensive models. The new Renault Clio introduces a range of innovations aimed at improving the driving experience. A key feature is the openR link multimedia system, which integrates Google services such as Google Maps and Google Assistant. Additional features include automatic emergency braking during reverse maneuvers and audible and visual warnings for safe passenger exit. The new Clio provides two engine options tailored to different driving preferences. For those seeking efficient, quiet, and smooth city driving, the full hybrid E-Tech 160 is an ideal choice. This system combines a new 1.8-liter gasoline engine, two electric motors, and a clutchless transmission to optimize performance and efficiency. In urban and suburban settings, the Clio can operate primarily on electric power for up to 80 percent of the time, significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions. For drivers preferring a traditional gasoline option, the TCe 115 engine is available. This new 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine produces 86 kilowatts (115 horsepower), with buyers able to choose between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the previous generation of this powertrain, fuel consumption has been reduced by more than ten percent.
