On August 1, MDI Kranj will host a special day for disabled individuals at Grmovški dom on Kopah. Transportation to the venue will be arranged, minimizing walking. The event will include cultural programs, a mass at the chapel of St. Anne, games, a seated tour of Velika Kopa, meetings, and entertainment featuring the ensemble Kaval. Registration for this event can be done at the association’s office during the same working hours. In addition to these outdoor and wellness-related events, cultural activities have also taken place. The photography exhibition titled “Beauty of the Landscape,” created by photographer Jasminka Suljanović, a member of both the Radovljica Photography Club and the Jesenice Photography Club, has been on display since July at the Pasaža Gallery in the Radovljica Castle Museum, located at Linhartov trg 1. The exhibition is accessible daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., free of charge. At the Kosova Castle Museum in Jesenice, the international artist Irene Gayatri Horvat’s exhibition titled “Prerokinje” has been on view since its opening and will remain available until September 5. Meanwhile, in Kranj, the pensioners’ association hosted an art exhibition titled “Retrospective,” showcasing works by participants of the visual arts course offered by the University for the Third Age. This exhibition ran at the Pensioners’ House in Kranj until August 31. Other notable events included a concert titled “From Russia to America, With Heart at Home” held on Friday, July 10, at 8 p.m. in the Šenčur Local Residents’ House. This performance was part of the tenth anniversary of the Šenčur Summer Music Meeting International Festival and featured the Godal Quartet Orion, with Miro Erzin serving as moderator. Additionally, the Društvo upokojencev Kokrica organized a hiking trip on Friday, July 10, to Mount Možjanc and Štefania. The meeting point was set for 8:30 a.m. in front of the Cultural House of Franc Mrak in Kokrica, with the hike potentially canceled if weather conditions worsened.
