Jordan intercepted five Iranian missiles over its territory

Jordan's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five projectiles fired from Iran early in the morning, according to the country's armed forces. Jordan claims the projectiles were aimed at its territory, while Tehran insists the attack targeted an American military base. The Jordanian state agency Petra reported that military monitoring systems detected the projectiles, which were then destroyed by the military. Official sources confirmed there were no casualties or material damage. Meanwhile, Iran's state television IRIB reported that the ballistic missiles were targeting an American military base in Jordan as a response to what they call 'aggressive moves' by the US military. The Revolutionary Guard stated they would continue operations as long as threats against Iran persist and 'unlawful and malicious activities' by American forces against Iranian interests continue. This marks the third consecutive day of aerial attacks on Jordan, with the military intercepting a drone entering Jordan's airspace on Tuesday and destroying two more drones on Monday. Authorities have not disclosed where the drones were launched from.
