A new chapter for Adel: her return to London.

Jet Black Diamonds, one of Slovenia's most prominent rock bands, has announced plans for their upcoming album, which will be released this autumn. This new project marks another phase in the band’s evolution, as they continue to explore new musical directions while maintaining their signature sound. The group recently unveiled their third single from the forthcoming album, titled Zaenkrat smo v redu, which has already generated significant interest among fans and critics alike.

The track was introduced alongside a music video directed by Matic Kutin, a long-time collaborator with the band. According to drummer Maks Rozman, the video was intentionally designed to be simple rather than elaborate, capturing a more spontaneous and authentic feel. The band filmed the video at Izola, where they enjoyed both the scenic views and the relaxed atmosphere. However, the experience wasn’t without its challenges—on a particularly hot day, vocalist Urban Koritnik had to use a spray bottle to cool down, while the rest of the band tried to help him using makeshift fans. “Urban almost fainted from the heat,” one member recalled, adding that the conditions were indeed extremely warm.

The song itself represents a slight departure from the band’s usual style, with a stronger emphasis on rhythm and electronic elements. While the members clarified that this isn't necessarily indicative of the overall direction of the album, they expressed enthusiasm about experimenting with new sounds. Producer’s studio equipment allowed them to incorporate synthesizers into the track, resulting in a unique blend that still retains the essence of Jet Black Diamonds. “We always try to push boundaries with each song,” said Koritnik, highlighting the band’s commitment to innovation.

The release of Zaenkrat smo v redu comes after the band introduced two previous singles, Ljubljena and Pet let. These tracks have helped build anticipation for the full album, which is currently being recorded. The band has confirmed that the album will be released in October, and they plan to unveil it with a major concert in the fall. Fans can expect a series of live performances throughout the summer leading up to the album’s launch, offering an opportunity to see the band perform the new material in person.

Jet Black Diamonds have consistently aimed to grow their fan base and expand their presence beyond Slovenia. As mentioned by Rozman, the band hopes to play larger venues and festivals annually, indicating their ambition to reach wider audiences. Their desire to leave behind a legacy of quality music remains central to their goals. “We want to leave behind as much good music as we can,” Koritnik stated, emphasizing the importance of artistic contribution over commercial success.

Known for her powerful voice and emotionally resonant songs, Adele last released an album in 2021, titled 30, which included hits such as Easy On Me.
