One person killed in the crash of a Czech military helicopter, three injured

A Czech military helicopter crashed at a military base in the town of Namešt nad Oslavou, east of the country, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The incident occurred at the 22nd Air Base, approximately 180 kilometers southeast of Prague. According to the Czech military, the helicopter, a Bell Textron UH-1Y Venom, was carrying five soldiers when it crashed. Emergency services responded immediately, and the regional emergency services spokesperson, Petr Janaček, confirmed one person died while three were taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injury. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed, and rescue operations were still ongoing. Police were informed of the crash at 12:11 local time.
