The last one from Revos: bye, Clio, it was nice!

The last Renault Clio produced at the Novo Mesto plant has rolled off the line after 33 years of production. Over 2.2 million Clios were made at the factory, accounting for nearly half of all vehicles produced there. The final Clio was completed on June 16, marked by internal celebrations and visits from industry representatives. Production of the first-generation Clio began in 1993, replacing the discontinued Renault 4 and 5 models. The third generation was not produced in Novo Mesto, but the fourth generation returned in 2017, followed by the fifth generation in 2019. The sixth generation is now being produced in Turkey. While the Clio holds a special place in the history of the Novo Mesto plant, the focus is shifting toward electric vehicle production, including the Twingo and two new electric models. The plant plans to increase daily production to around 500 vehicles by year-end.
