AEIraq has completed interrogations of 5,704 ISIS suspects transferred from Syria and is preparing to bring them to trial, according to the Supreme Judicial Council. The First Karkh Investigation Court, specializing in terrorism cases, concluded the interrogation phase in February and now aims to move the cases to trial based on collected evidence. Among the suspects, 474 are Iraqi nationals and 3,497 are Syrians, with detainees representing 67 different nationalities. The investigation identified individuals involved in various ISIS roles, including leadership, security, finance, and media, as well as those responsible for crimes against the Yazidi community. Some detainees were released due to lack of evidence, including two foreign nationals and seven Iraqis, while procedures continue for the release of 457 Syrian detainees.
