Iran has issued a reward for the killing or capture of U.S. soldiers.

Iran has announced a reward of $30,000, equivalent to approximately €26,000, for anyone who kills or captures American soldiers. The announcement was made by Amir Hatami, a military official, according to reports citing the Iranian state news agency Irna. Women who carry out such acts will receive double the amount, according to the statement. Hatami did not specify where or when these actions could take place. The conflict between Iran and the United States began on February 28, when the U.S. and Israel launched attacks against Iran. In response, Iran carried out strikes across the region. After nearly 40 days of fighting, a ceasefire was reached in April, followed by the establishment of a framework for peace negotiations in June, which later collapsed. Since then, both countries have occasionally exchanged attacks, with most incidents focused on southern Iran and the Strait of Hormuz area. According to available information, there have been no U.S. ground forces stationed in Iran during the war in the Middle East, except for a rescue operation in April following the shooting down of a U.S. pilot. The situation escalated further after the U.S. and Israel's initial attack on Iran, leading to retaliatory strikes by Iran throughout the region. In addition to the reward offer, Iran has accused Qatar of hindering efforts to determine the fate of three Iranian pilots, whom Tehran claims were captured by Qatari authorities during the war in the Middle East. A team of experts from Iranian air force personnel has been waiting for months for permission to travel to Qatar to conduct an investigation at the site of the incident. According to Mohammad Bagherzadeh, head of the committee for searching missing persons within Iran’s armed forces, Qatari authorities continue to delay the visit, making it impossible to return the pilots to Iran. Qatar denied the allegations. A spokesperson for the Qatari foreign ministry, Majid al-Ansari, stated that Iran's claims are misleading, especially given the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region, according to German news agency dpa. The incident involving the three pilots reportedly occurred in March when they were allegedly involved in an attack on the U.S. military base Al Udeid in Qatar. Qatar claimed it shot down two Iranian Su-24 aircraft, although it is unclear whether these are the same planes mentioned by Iran. Last month, Iran announced that it had found the body of pilot Majid Kazemi, who died during the attack. According to Qatari statements, rescue teams discovered the remains of one pilot and invited Iran to coordinate their handover and become informed about the rescue operation. However, Tehran reportedly did not respond to the call. Earlier this year, Iran stated it had no information regarding the fates of the pilots. Qatar, according to dpa, maintains that its military took defensive measures upon the entry of Iranian aircraft into Qatari airspace and possibly shot them down. U.S. President Donald Trump recently announced during a political rally in New York that he would declare the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory. In response, Kazem Garibabadi, deputy foreign minister of Iran, emphasized that the strategically important strait would remain under Iranian control. He wrote on social media platform X, stating that the strait would be opened and closed exclusively based on Iran's instructions. Garibabadi added that the strait could not be seized through tweets, aircraft carriers, orders, or campaign speeches. He noted that Iran does not fear threats and is not intimidated by displays of power. Trump previously expressed his intention to take control of the vital shipping route, which Iran has blocked since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran at the end of February. Iran has prevented most civilian ships from passing through the strait, causing oil prices to rise since the start of the war. Meanwhile, the U.S. military has imposed a blockade on Iranian ports to cripple the Iranian economy.

President Trump: "I will declare the Strait of Hormuz a territory of the United States".

Iran offers $26,000 for killing or capturing U.S. soldiers, twice as much for women.

The article reports on remarks by Iranian President Hassan Rowhani (Hatami) regarding financial incentives for citizens who kill or capture American soldiers who attacked Iran. He stated that individuals who commit such acts would receive a reward of $30,000 or five billion tomans, while women who do so would receive double the amount.
