GRInspectors have assessed fire-damaged buildings in several regions of Greece affected by recent wildfires. In western Attica, which was heavily impacted, 118 buildings were deemed beyond repair and condemned for demolition, while 119 others sustained damage that could be repaired, and 88 were considered habitable. The inspections covered areas such as western Attica, Crete, Viotia, Achaia, the Argolid in the Peloponnese, and Phokis in central Greece. In the Rethymno area of Crete, where two firefighters lost their lives fighting the fires, 55 buildings were inspected, with 19 condemned and 12 deemed repairable. Additional condemnations occurred in Viotia (seven), Phokis (six), and the Argolid (two).
