Indian activist on hunger strike for 20 days forcibly taken to hospital

Indian activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a 20-day hunger strike in Delhi supporting educational reforms through the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), was forcibly taken to a hospital by police. Despite being in poor health and losing over 9kg, he refused to end his hunger strike and insisted on participating in a planned march to Parliament. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has taken over the fast and vowed to continue the protest, calling for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign. Police stated that Wangchuk was moved to a government hospital following a court order and medical advice. His wife reported that no medical interventions should occur without her and the doctors' consent. While Wangchuk may not participate in the march, Dipke claims the protest will proceed as planned.
