IMT Mass Comm alumni commission N6m solar power project

The N93/H96 class of the Association of Mass Communication Students (ASMACS) at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, has donated a 15KW lithium-battery solar power system valued at over N6 million to the Department of Mass Communication at the institution. The project includes a 12KVA inverter and 15 solar panels and was officially commissioned during the class's 28th anniversary reunion. The Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, praised the alumni for their contribution, emphasizing the importance of reliable electricity in modern education and encouraging other alumni groups to follow suit. The National President of the class, Lady Lilian Anukwuem, stated that the initiative was intended as a lasting legacy to benefit the department for years to come. The event was attended by the IMT Rector, Prof. Gozie Ogbodo, along with other stakeholders.
