The name of Florida's airport is now the Trump name.

The international airport in Palm Beach, Florida, has officially been renamed in honor of former U.S. President Donald Trump. The change was announced on Thursday, marking a significant gesture by the state government to recognize the former president’s influence and legacy. The new designation will take effect on August 18, when the airport's official sign will transition from “PBI” to “DJT,” reflecting its new identity as the Donald J. Trump International Airport. Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida signed the legislation that made this renaming possible. According to officials, the process includes not only changing the name but also updating the airport’s branding, signage, and other visual elements. The estimated cost for these changes ranges up to $5.5 million, approximately €4.8 million. This initiative underscores the ongoing efforts by local authorities to align public spaces with prominent figures, particularly those who have played a notable role in politics and business. The renaming ceremony was accompanied by the arrival of a private jet known as the Trump Force One, which belongs to the Trump Organization.
