The Croatian co-production film 'Mraz,' inspired by a myth from eastern Serbia, will have its world premiere in mid-October at the 59th edition of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Catalonia, Spain. The film follows Mirjana, a cynical and emotionally distant police detective investigating the disappearance of a young woman who was living in a small town and writing a blog about local magical stories. Directed by Serbian filmmaker Pavel Vučković, the movie features actors from North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia, among others. It was filmed in Belgrade, the village of Braćevac in eastern Serbia, Kosmaj, and the village of Babe during September and October 2024. The film is produced in collaboration between several international production companies including Plan 9 (Serbia), ORWO/Black Hangar Studios (United Kingdom), and Telefilm (Croatia).
