The date of the opening of the fixed connection of the shell has been confirmed.

A fixed connection between Oulu and Hailuoto will open on June 29. The construction work began in May 2024. The link between the mainland and the largest island in the Bothnian Sea will also be inaugurated by Transport Minister Lulu Ranne. At the same time, the ferry service to Hailuoto will end.
